Learning4Life Centre Logo competition

Posted on February 15th, 2011 by Kathie

Hi all,

We are having a new youth learning centre built in Walsall. It is called ‘Learning4Life’.

You are invited to design the logo for the project, see below

Walsall Children’s Services in partnership with Walsall Education Business Partnership would like to invite young people to take part in a competition to design a logo for the new Learning 4 Life Centre.

Centre Overview

This first class modern facility currently under development as a borough-wide resource and located on the Alumwell site will be available by the end of 2011.

The facility will be used primarily for 14-19 education but will also serve the needs of other learners including the primary sector, learners with disabilities and adult learners. It will also be attractive to public, private and voluntary sector organisations for corporate use.

The flexible learning space can be used to create real life health and social care situations that cannot otherwise be simulated, Specially constructed sets are designed to replicate everyday experiences.

 Facilities will include:

  • general teaching spaces
  • science laboratory (including forensics)
  • mock ‘accident and emergency’ area
  • an ambulance
  • sensory room
  • fitness laboratory
  •  mock pharmacy
  •  domiciliary care environment
  •  learning centre for independent living
  • Healthy Eating kitchen
